Split Roller Bearings

Split Roller Bearings are designed and developed to maximise service life, while minimising the effort of the maintenance.
Two types of split roller bearings are:

  • Retained
  • Extension

Split bearings functionally combine the two crucial elements of running cost-efficient machinery. These two elements are flexibility and reliability. The flexibility means the split design allows for the components related to the bearing be used and accessed without dismantling. It is reliable in terms of being able to function in problematic situations.

Bearing Bushes

Bushes are usually sintered or wrapped. The wrapped bushes are available in an array of washers and plates with polymer coatings to the operating surface, metal bushings and dry plain bearings that include PTFE (Teflon), graphite/metal and ceramic materials. Oil impregnated sintered bearings are also available as flanged and plain bushes, washers and bars.
Plain bearings are available in form of radial bearings, strips, cups and axial bearings and many other designs. These bearings are in particular suitable where high loads are supported under a moderately slow rotary and swivel motion and at high and low temperatures while also running quietly. Due to the versatile characteristics these bearings hold, they’re therefore used in virtually all areas of industry and specifically where there is limited space available for the bearing’s arrangement.

Cam Followers and Track Rollers

Track Rollers stocked here at Paddy Denby Engineering Ltd are characterised by their thick walled outer rings which run directly on track. This licences a high load-carrying capability while also minimising alteration and bending pressures.
Two basic designs of these bearings, which comprise a full complement of needle rollers include an inner ring for straddle mounting in a yoke or otherwise an integral stud for cantilever mounting. Mounting is facilitated by a slot for the screwdriver or a hexagonal wrench socket in the head of the stud. To extend service life under the conditions of infrequent and lack of lubrication, the sealed designs with internal thrust washers contribute.
Our company stock an array of cam followers which are available in either stud or yoke versions. These are offered in three types of internal structures:

  • Cylindrical rollers
  • Full complement needle rollers
  • Retainer type needle rollers

Track rollers are self-retaining, single or double row units with particularly thick-walled outer rings. These bearings can support high radial forces while also supporting axial forces in both directions. A crowned or cylindrical outside surface embodies the bearings outer rings. Where misalignment occurs in terms of raceway and edge pressure, the outside surface has a crowned design. Inner ring track rollers are also offered with a plastic tyre and a stud on the rollers outer ring.
